MIKE ABEBE
Abebe Ventures was founded more than 30 years ago by Mike Abebe, who built his career through determination, persistence, and hands-on experience.

His entrepreneurial journey began with the acquisition of a single convenience store on Bankhead Highway in Atlanta, now Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway. From that modest beginning, he transitioned into real estate development and went on to build more than 1,000 homes across Atlanta, Baltimore, and Minneapolis. Nearly 70 percent of those homes qualify as affordable housing.

Throughout his career, Mike Abebe’s work has remained centered in inner city neighborhoods. Witnessing firsthand how these communities were often overlooked shaped his approach to development and reinforced his commitment to reinvesting in the neighborhoods that provided opportunity and growth.

That perspective continues to guide Abebe Ventures today, with a focus on thoughtful development that respects community history while supporting long term progress.
Meet the Team
Chief of Staff
Michael Obasi
Michael is a licensed real estate agent based in Atlanta, Georgia, with over two years of experience in the real estate industry and a strong passion for construction and development. He holds a degree in General Science with an emphasis in Biology, along with a minor in Geography from Mount Royal University in Canada.
As Chief of Staff at Abebe Ventures, he supports day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives, working closely with leadership to coordinate projects, streamline processes, and drive execution across the organization.
Project Manager
Delila House
Delila is a project manager with 20+ years of experience in property management, affordable housing, and real estate development. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Jackson State University.
She has led large-scale housing projects and redevelopment efforts, with expertise in financial management, compliance, and HUD and Tax Credit communities.
At Abebe Ventures, Delila oversees projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and aligned with community impact goals.
Asset Manager
Jerone Chandrakumar
With 9+ years in real estate and property management, Jerone has overseen portfolios of 300+ properties across commercial, single-family, and multi-family asset classes. He has a proven track record of growing revenue through strategic leasing, tenant relations, and cost-effective improvements, backed by expertise in financial reporting, HUD and Fair Housing compliance, and vendor management.
A University of Kentucky Economics graduate, Jerone brings analytical rigor and hands-on experience to optimize asset performance and support portfolio growth at Abebe Ventures.
Project Manager
A S Jana Pandiya Raj, PMP®
Jana Pandiya Raj is a Project and Construction Manager with 14+ years of delivery experience with project management consultancies. He holds a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering and a Master’s in Building Technology & Construction Management from IIT Madras in India. Having delivered over 3.5 million sq. ft. of industrial, corporate and commercial projects for multinational clients, Jana specializes in the full project lifecycle—from due diligence to closeout. He possesses deep expertise in handling complex budgets, procurement, and large-scale team leadership.
At Abebe Ventures, Jana oversees end-to-end project delivery, ensuring all developments are executed precisely according to schedule, safety standards, and technical specifications.
